| My work is retrospective, evolving from images related to my childhood and present life. There is a vein of humor that runs through the entire body of my work, and trompe-l'oeil is the expressive outlet for this. The juxtaposition of different types of ceramic illusions is a perfect vehicle for this type of work. My references are designed to evoke the viewer's memories and pit our common ground with our dissonant experiences.
